Ovarian Cancer ranks fifth among the causes of death in women. Anyone with ovaries can get ovarian cancer but Men, don’t be too quick to exit this blog because you might help a family member by hearing the insights we’re about to share. Here are the things that Dr. Romeo Orteza shared in the health talk last September 24, 2022.

What is Ovarian cancer?

Ovarian cancer is the formation and growth of abnormal cells in the ovaries. It multiplies quickly and can spread to other parts of the body–destroying healthy body tissue.

Symptoms of Ovarian Cancer

The physical manifestation of ovarian cancer varies from person to person. The following are its common symptoms:

  • Feeling full after eating only a little
  • Abdominal or pelvic pain
  • Increased abdominal size or persistent bloating.
  • Needing to urinate often

These may occur all at once or a few at a time. But, it’s best to visit your doctor for more accurate diagnosis, especially if you have already observed some or all of these signs on your body; just to confirm things and address whatever conditions you have sooner than later.

Factors Increasing the Risks of Ovarian Cancer

As long as you have ovaries, you are definitely prone to ovarian cancer. Much more if you have the factors that increase its risk. The list runs quite long which includes your genes, family history, overweight/obesity, postmenopausal hormone replacement therapy, endometriosis, early age onset of menstruation & later age of menopausal, and never having been pregnant.
If you have any of the abovementioned conditions and circumstances, you better have yourself checked since you have a higher likelihood to acquire the disease.

Ways to Reduce the Risk

Doc Orteza cited two methods for reducing the risk of ovarian cancer which involves taking birth control pills and surgery or removal of the potential cancerous part of the gland. As for its treatment, patients undergo surgery, chemotherapy, or both. Other treatments may be applied as well such as the modified alternative treatment which involves a natural approach to treating the disease. In NobleLife, we only do three steps to address such conditions. This is through detoxification, rebalance, and nourishment using the NobleLife products including Cleanse, Cryptomonadales, and PPARS Plus (for severe cases). These could be supplementary treatments alongside curative treatments.
